Multi-Parametric Live Cell Microscopy of 3D Tissue Models
Ruslan I. Dmitriev
- Springer
- 26 Octobre 2017
- 9783319673585
This book provides an essential overview of existing state-of-the-art quantitative imaging methodologies and protocols (intensity-based ratiometric and FLIM/ PLIM). A variety of applications are covered, including multi-parametric quantitative imaging in intestinal organoid culture, autofluorescence imaging in cancer and stem cell biology, Ca2+ imaging in neural ex vivo tissue models, as well as multi-parametric imaging of pH and viscosity in cancer biology. The current state-of-the-art of 3D tissue models and their compatibility with live cell imaging is also covered. This is an ideal book for specialists working in tissue engineering and designing novel biomaterial.

This book is a compendium of the finest research in nanoplasmonic sensing done around the world in the last decade. It describes basic theoretical considerations of nanoplasmons in the dielectric environment, gives examples of the multitude of applications of nanoplasmonics in biomedical and chemical sensing, and provides an overview of future trends in optical and non-optical nanoplasmonic sensing. Specifically, readers are guided through both the fundamentals and the latest research in the two major fields nanoplasmonic sensing is applied to - bio- and chemo-sensing - then given the state-of-the-art recipes used in nanoplasmonic sensing research.

Models and Methods of Magnetotellurics
Mark N. Berdichevsky, Vladimir I. Dmitriev

Magnetotellurics is finding increasing applications for imaging electrically conductive structures below the Earth`s surface - in both industrial and academic research projects. In Models and Methods of Magnetotellurics the authors provide a systematic approach to understanding the modern theory of ill-posed problems which is essential to making confident meaningful interpretations of magnetotelluric and magnetovariational soundings. The interpretation is conducted in an interactive way, including the hypotheses tests and successive partial inversions with priority on the tippers, magnetic tensors and impedance-phases, which keeps out the destructive static effects of near-surface inhomogeneities. The efficiency of the interpretation is exemplified by new geoelectric models of the Baikal rift zone and the Cascadian subduction zone.
